Unfortunately, platforms who are only recently getting into gaming and streaming have lacked this key feature. For example, if you head into a YouTube stream today, your display name might automatically default to your real name. Now, Netflix, as spotted by developer Steve Moser (via TechCrunch), is allowing users to set up a gamertag for players on select games on the platform. In the same vein, according to spotted code, players will soon be able to participate in leaderboards and co-op gameplay using the same gamertags. Besides a simple gaming platform, Netflix is seemingly building a social platform for gamers to interact with each other. That said, the platform hasn’t rolled out the features yet. While Netflix has confirmed that more gaming-oriented features are coming, the company has not confirmed which features will eventually roll out.
